Structural Steel Pilot Program · Rev A

Every sheet checked by AI before you look at it.

ClearHandoff flags missing dimensions, welds, and bolt callouts on every drawing sheet. You start from findings instead of a blank check print. We are tuning it for structural steel with a small group of detailing firms.

if it does not convince you

The pilot includes three working sessions with us. At onboarding we build your review profile from your check prints, and after week 1 and week 3 we compare findings against your checker's markups and tune. Joining these three calls is all we ask.

How the 4 weeks run

1

Onboarding, day 1

Bring check prints from a recent job. We build your review profile together and run your first drawings live.

2

Call after week 1

What the AI caught, what it missed, on your real drawings. We adjust the profile.

3

Call after week 3

We review results, tune once more, and you receive your founding rate for after the pilot.

4

Week 4, your call

Run the improved profile on a live job. Continue at your founding rate or take the refund.

The pilot is a fit if

  • You run a steel detailing operation on Tekla Structures, SDS2, or any tool that exports PDF shop drawings.
  • Someone on your team checks shop drawings today.
  • You have a live job during the pilot that you can run through ClearHandoff.
  • You can share check prints so we can tune your review profile.

Questions we hear from detailers

How does the AI review work?

Every sheet you upload is checked by Pen, our AI reviewer, against a review profile tuned to your checking standards. It flags what it finds on each sheet, and your checker decides what to act on.

What counts as one AI review?

One PDF drawing sheet. For steel work that is usually one assembly or part mark. Assemblies with multiple sheets count per sheet.

What happens to our check prints?

We use them to tune your review profile and to improve our steel review overall. They stay confidential, and we never train AI models on your data. Tuning happens through review rules and reference documents, not through model training.

Are 500 reviews enough?

They cover the full drawing set of a typical job, part drawings included. The steel jobs we hear about run from about 200 to 700 sheets. If your jobs are bigger or you want to run several during the pilot, tell us and we add reviews.

What happens after the 4 weeks?

You continue at your founding rate or you take the refund. There is no automatic renewal.
