AI Review

When you run an AI review on a drawing version:

• The AI analyzes each page of your drawing
• It identifies potential issues like missing tolerances or unclear dimensions
• Issues appear as comments pinned to specific locations on the drawing
• Each issue includes a confidence level and suggested fix

What It Checks For

The review covers the whole drawing, not only its dimensions:

• Dimensional consistency: dimensions that disagree between views, chains that do not add up, and features that are never located.
• Tolerancing: general tolerances, fits and functional dimensions, and whether the general-tolerance note and title block cover what the drawing needs.
• GD&T: every datum and every feature control frame, enumerated and checked in full rather than glanced at.
• Standards: whether the standards a drawing invokes are valid and consistently applied, including how an ISO GPS or ASME reference carries through the rest of the drawing.
• Written specifications: material, heat treatment, surface finish and coating callouts.
• Views and geometry: whether the views define the part completely and agree with one another.
• Title block and revisions: drawing number, revision, approval signatures and the other fields that identify a drawing. Plenty of real defects hide here.
• Assembly documentation: the bill of material and how parts are called up.
• Spelling: typos in notes, callouts, tables and title-block text, from a reviewer that does nothing else.
• Your own standards: attach company documents to a review profile and a finding will name the document and page it rests on.

It reports what would cause a real manufacturing or inspection problem, or a significant standard violation. Matters of style, and places where a drawing could merely be more explicit, are left alone.

Select a profile from the dropdown next to the AI Review button in the drawing viewer, and manage your profiles on the AI Review page. Browse all profiles in the Profile Library.
